Painting Outdoor Landscapes with Lissa Lee Roberts- En Plein Aire 101

Welcome to En Plein Aire 101. We will explore the process of creating a painting in the outdoors. First you will select a scene and experiment with formats. Next, we will create a template and draw a quick sketch to establish values. Finally, we will layout our sketch on our canvas, block in colors and fill in the details.

In 2010, Lissa Lee Roberts began to pursue a career in art where she studied under the direction of Larry Casso at the Baton Rouge Fine Art Academy. During her time in Louisiana, Lissa participated in numerous art shows, belonged to area art guilds, was featured in local galleries, and taught workshops. 2016 brought her to Texas where she participated in the 2017 Pastel Society of the Southwest National Show, studied with Martha Spurlock, featured at Granbury’s Dora Lee Langdon Cultural and Educational Center in 2020 and now enjoys displaying her work at Barnard’s Mill and Art Museum and the Braniff Airlines Art of Texas collection.
